SG-1 fic was some of the first stuff I started on in fandom, but I'd never actually seen the show. I still haven't, to be honest. I watched the movie and hated the hell out of it (Spader was, of course, delectable, and Jaye Davidson cracked my shit up, as usual, but it really was quite bad), and I've only caught a handful of eppies in full and was pretty "meh" about them on the whole (the one with O'Neill's young Asgard clone though? I really took a shine to), but I think I just have to sit down and watch it from beginning to end. I'll buy the entire box set once I see the price coming down some. I bought the entire DS9 run and still have 'em in the plastic (although I *have* seen every episode of the show, oftentimes more than once).
Going out and connection with the human race is a good thing -- but there's nothing wrong with being an introvert who enjoys alone time in the apartment too :) True, but I've spent my entire life stuck hiding away from the light. If my social skills could be embodied in any living thing, they'd have to be compared to a young calf being prepped to become veal parmesan. It's a sad sad state of affairs, my friend.
