Let me 'splain the awesome (briefly)

1. Oh my god. OH MY GOD. Animal Planet's I Was Bitten. Enough relevant medical information that I'm riveted, enough utter gore that I'm squigged AND completely hooked.
2. Les Halles's steak and fries. Bourdain's worshipful opinion of the kitchen's frites? Very warranted.
An aside: "brain tissue herniating down into the nose." A doctor's description of one man's bear encounter damage. HOmygawd! I Was Bitten, y'all.
3. Men in tights - Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo just finished its latest run in NYC at the Joyce Theatre. Simply amazing. Funny and dazzling and, dude, I effin' swear, one of the dancers was built like a goddamn defensive lineman yet he still managed to dance en pointe. I'm officially a groupie.
4. Battlestar Galactica's webisodes. Increasing my Gaeta love (and, really, I didn't know such a thing was possible) as well as getting me excited about BSG for the first time in a long time.
5. Reading, because it's fundamental. I started the new year making grounds on my first book in a month. Nice way to start. And I'm doing that fiction writing class next month so I figure I should start using Scrivener for something besides a bulletin board, eh?
