Mini w/e update

fredericksWork this week = manageable. Home = quiet. The 'rents are obviously having too much fun to call, seeing as I haven't heard from them since Sunday. I do hope they can find their way back to the plane on Tuesday.
This weekend will be quiet. I've been lazing in the bed all morning (outside of going down to put things in and take things out of the washer/dryer and putting on the DVD to work out) but have to head out in a bit, and tomorrow I intend to stay in and do my taxes (because that's what's hot on the streets right now).
I haven't recced fic in years on my journal (nor have I updated my del.icio.us page), but since I stayed up until 4 am reading this I figure I need to share it: When The Lights Go On Again by![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
seanchai and elspethdixon, Marvel-verse, Avengers-centered, slash and het. It's long (there's a link to a massive .pdf file at the top of the last chapter), has an excellent plot, and is amazingly well-written. I know very little about the Avengers as a group (I grew up on X-Men), but there's nothing that a quick read of the Wiki page won't remedy. Srsly, READ. This is the sort of fic that makes me itch to pick up my own pen (to weep over my own inadequacy, but still!).
