Here's a joke with no punline: I'm procrastinating going to sleep like that's going to do anything but make me hate myself and my life once I'm seated in the office in seven hours. Not only that, but I'm also procrastinating on stuff I promised to do that I could actually tackle while I sit here fighting sleep like a pre-schooler.

Win.

I fight sleep right along with my three month old son! I prefer my method of mind racing to his screaming bloody murder, however.

Exactly! It's like "can't go to sleep, need to find a way to do...stuff" but you never actually get around to doing anything. And then the sun's coming up and your day instantly sucks.

Sometimes you just feel like misbehaving, you know? Only as adults, we don't have parents to piss off, so we have to rebel against ~the world~ instead.

Refusing to sleep is better than my preferred method (nicotine).
