fredericksI'm back from Boston. The Con was great and I cannot wait to go back next year. I am going to write it up soon.
BUT. I just needed to vent because I stupidly ran my smartphone through an entire spin cycle in my washer. ENTIRE SPIN CYCLE. FUCK FUCKITY FUCK.
Contacts, Kindle books, texts? gone. Phone? gone. Lots of cash that will be needed to pay for a new phone? soon to be gone.
FUCK.
eta - My brother said "stick it in rice!", so my phone and battery are currently resting in a small pot of Carolina Brown. Hopefully I'll remember to take it out before I get the urge to carb up and put the rice on to boil.

Date: 2011-01-18 03:15 pm (UTC)It's so funny how I figured it out - I remembered trying to be efficient and placing my phone in my laundry bag along with my clothes... but of course not until after starting the washer and finishing breakfast. Then I called my phone and it must have given up the ghost after three rings. Poor thing.
