Perry Moore, the author of the gay YA superhero novel "Hero," is reported to have died.

Moore also had a slew of screenwriting credits to his name (knowing that he'd worked on the recent Narnia adaptations always had me scratching my head), but "Hero" is a favorite of mine and I'm sad to hear about Perry's passing.

Oh, that's terrible. That was such a good book, and now he can't make more. :(

I know. I felt bad because the first thing I thought when hearing about his death was that he wouldn't be able to finish the sequel that he supposedly was working on. Quite selfish of me, but there you go.

Yeah. If I knew him as a person, I might be able to say something more sensitive and personal. But, it is a blow to the YA literary world.
