For some reason that line was running through my head all day yesterday. Camp has done strange things to me.
Turned out that dad postponed the whole resolution thing indefinitely because we passed by my aunt's house to ring in the new year instead of sticking it out at home. I think dad's personal resolution was to shout less, because he was obviously holding back during a major portion of yesterday. I was proud of him. Let's see how long that one holds up.
Jo called me last night and I was pleasantly surprised. That's another good omen for the new year.
Had to work today, and although I was whining about it yesterday (surprise!) I actually had an okay time. There were, like, zero customers in, all the serious asshole co-workers were out, and the manager was MIA. AND I finally got around to getting a cell phone. Thank God for huge-ass employee discounts. I feel like it's more of a safety net than anything else, because I can't see me getting much use out of it. But still, at least I don't come off as such a technophobe now.
Picked up the extended version of LotR:The Two Towers yesterday, mainly to listen to the typically hilarious actor commentary track. I have yet to be disappointed. But to Sean Astin I have to channel Apu and say "Shut up, shut up, I can't believe you don't shut up?!?" The man just goes on and on and on using Clive Frazier-ish words. Billy and Dominic are just a barrel of laughs though. Elven conditioner...hee hee! Can't wait until the EE of Return of the King comes out.
