You people on my friends list are great at following commands. I sincerely appreciate the time and effort y'all took in text messaging me. That's an open invitation, btw. Anytime you're bored and by a computer (and I'm not on AIM), feel free to send me a text message. That's sort of the reason why I put that up in my profile. I'm a needy person on the oft occasion.

I got my first real glimpse of Farscape last night. I think [livejournal.com profile] gorzo will appreciate that. Mein Gott, Crichton is SMOKING. I just dropped my Netflix copies of Angels in America in the mailbox and Farscape is definitely next on my queue list. Not only because of Crichton's hotness, mind you (he looks eerily like Eric Bana)...but that doesn't hurt.

I've come to find out that it takes a man very secure in his sexuality to watch a show featuring a male/male coupling. Bound is easily watched, yet they hesitate when it comes to the aformentioned excellent Angels in America. Or "Queer as Folk" (although, to be honest, the writing in QaF can get pretty horrendous; on those occasions I wouldn't blame anyone of any gender for avoiding it). God, male sexuality and sexual identity in this country is all sorts of fucked up.

And, yeah, women's sexuality and sexual identity isn't all fine and dandy either. But that's another issue altogether.

I love that you are listening to Wicked - the title of that song is "Popular" - have you seen the musical yet? Or do you plan to?

Here's a little something for the sexual identity thingy...if I were a gay man I'd be straight for the woman who plays Elphaba in Wicked, Idina Menzel. Taye Digg's wife - yeah she's hot.

Thanks for the song title correction, and duly corrected. When I posted that I was tired and very much out of it.

And...eh. I'm not much for Idina. She is nice, though. I found it funny that I picked up the Rent and the Wicked Soudtrack when I went to the library, and she was on both.

I do really really love Kristin Chenowith's voice. And acting. It's hilarious.

Have you seen the show? I wanted to go when I saw Rent, but the line for Wicked was tremendous, and I know tickets for it are, what now? $100 a pop? Eh.

Oh Kristin Chenoweth is without a doubt a better actress than Idina. I was surprised when Idina won the Tony this year - she was up against Kristin & Donna Murphy (Wonderful Town).

On the Rent recording Idina is my favorite...I'm not a fan of the OBC...except for her and Adam Pascal (Roger). While Kristin has the acting down...I much prefer Idina's voice (plus I think shes hot so I'm bias to her) - Kristin gets on my nerves sometimes with her pitch.

Idina is still in Wicked until Jan. 9 and Kristin left in July. Her replacement, Jennifer Laura Thomson, is in my opinion just as good. I found her "Popular" to be more funny actually.

Rent was Idina's broadway debut.

When did you see Rent? Recently I'm going to assume. How did you like it? Wicked tickets are pretty hard to get and the cheapest seat is $40 they are up in the rear mezz.

I used to watch Farscape obsessively...until I moved and couldn't afford cable any longer. I can't believe that they canceled it (well, yes, I can, the first shows to get canceled are the good ones in this country)! Bastards!

It's cancelled?

I thought they were working on getting it back on the air? Is that the show people were grumbling about when it wrapped up? Something about the final episode being a horrible cliffhanger?

It was- the main characters (including the one in my avatar) were seemingly killed, and another blinded. But in about 2 weeks, it gets the ending it was supposed to via the miniseries "The Peacekeeper Wars (http://www.scifi.com/farscape/). Hooray!

As far as QAF goes, are you trying to watch it with your bro or something?

Well, THANKS

*grin* Dude, you, like, TOTALLY spoiled the ending for me. There goes my anticipation.

And QAF with my brother? Oh, hells no.

HA! Not even close. And besides, it's not the ending anymore, now is it?

And I'm not seeing the Eric Bana thing.

I've never been much of a Farscape fan. I've seen a few episodes and just thought that grey skinned girl was hot. Not enough to keep me interested though. Me, I'm a stargate fan, both the original and the new Atlantis show.

As for the sexuality thing. I don't know what to say. I have no problems with homosexuality, I think you know that. But I really don't want to see any male/male coupling. I couldn't even give you a reason, just not something I want to see. Frankly, imo, male bodies are gross, as said on Seinfeld they are utilitarian, the female form is beautiful, in all most shapes and sizes. How women put up with us is beyond me, just glad they do.

*grin* Duly noted.

Farscape, again, has the alternate dimension Eric Bana draw. And people swear by it. I figure I should at least give it a go. I've never seen much of Stargate either, although MacGuyver is another draw - anyone that can make a nuclear bomb out of dental floss and a can of spray starch is golden in my books.

How women put up with us is beyond me, just glad they do.
I think the whole "drive to repopulate the Earth" thing kind of helps...
