There's this crick in my back - there's *been* this crick in my back. I've had it for almost a week now. It's painful. Sometimes I want a chiropractor or something to work magic and get rid of it.

Then I remember I think those people are charlatans and I go back to futilely bending and twisting, trying to relieve some of my agony.

I occasionally break out in the opening line of Afternoon Delight -"Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight, gonna get some afternoon delight...". Not my fault, really. "Arrested Development" had me cracking up when it used it incestuously (I like that show) and, more recently, the God-awful movie The Anchorman had a chuckle-worthy a capella version of it. Yesterday (?the day before yesterday? things are foggy) I would start singing the damn song and then tell myself, sternly, "Stop it!" Only to pick it up again a couple of seconds later. Last night I started singing it again and my brother just stopped in his tracks and looked at me and said "WHAT??" I shrugged and said "Afternoon Delight".

There's this free tax preparer class being offered today. I think it'd be interesting to know, if nothing else. This organization is trying to train people to work for them during tax season, I believe. Training isn't paid, though. And it's all the way in the Bronx, by friggin' Yankee Stadium. Trying to figure out if it's worth the trek. And the hassle (it's a 4 hour class).

I figure I'm bored enough. Eh. Might end up going.

Damn my gimpy back.

Okay now things are getting a little scary, cause I'm the oooonly person I know who hated Anchorman. Seriously. Some parts were chuckle-worthy until they freakin' kicked the dog off the bridge, at which point I just got really pissed off and the rest of the movie just seemed dumb, and not in a good way. Sooo not funny. The "Afternoon Delight" part was hilarious, though, but mostly because that song itself is so cheesy and 70s'y, you have to love it. And yes, it gets in your head and attaches itself to your brain and digs its little claws in and refuses to let go.

I gave up on it long before the dog kicking part. I kept watching it only because I'd been watching it with my brother. Otherwise I would have just popped it out and called it a day. Such a piece of garbage.
