Feb. 3rd, 2005 05:23 pmI'm restless today. I know it has to do with my nervousness over the GRE I'm supposed to take tomorrow afternoon. I'm underprepared. My schedule over the last couple of weeks hasn't helped, yes, but I just didn't study over break as much as I should have. Having never taken a speech or persuasive writing course, I'm actually most worried about the Writing Section. It's not like I can't take this again, I know, but the fact that all GRE scores are reported to schools (not just your best one) is a troubling bit of news. Oh well. Nothing I can do now besides lose $115 by not showing up. And I think twice is more than enough of that. It'll be a learning experience.

Date: 2005-02-04 06:11 pm (UTC)A standardized exam, like the SATs or ACT, required for a certain number of grad programs. Infinitely painful and somewhat pointless (like the SATs, ACTs, and any number of standardized tests out there).

Date: 2005-02-04 01:34 pm (UTC)Anyway, I'm sure that you'll do fine...especially on the writing portion. While they're definitely not formal writings, your entries are very well-written. I'm not just saying this, either...both of my parents were English majors in college, and some of it rubbed off on me, despite my best efforts to resist...
