So what's my problem with this? I'm not necessarily asking or being rhetorical, just not sure what to think. If he was in straight porn I doubt there would have been much hoopla about it here (can't vouch for Japan). I mean, look at celebrities and their sex tapes - Paris, Vince, Pamela, I'm looking your way. As long as you're not too kinky (ala R. Kelly) things actually work out very well. But it garnered an article on Espn.com and, most likely, a mention on either "Pardon the Interruption" or "Around the Horn". Just haven't been catching them lately so I wouldn't really know. It just highlights the puzzling (to me, at least) link society makes between masculinity and sexuality. It's not possible to be gay and strong? or gay and able to play major league sports? The Indians clubhouse claims there's not going to be a problem with the revelation but I know this guy is going to hear it from his teammates, other teams, and especially the fans. If he is gay, the whole debacle in Japan most likely made him run so far back in the closet it isn't even funny.

God, now I'm getting pissed. Pissed and incoherent, a bad mix. Perhaps I'll form better thoughts on the matter later.
