Apr. 26th, 2005 08:09 pmIt's been a while since I've been so engrossed in a book that events transpiring within have made me say "Oh SHIT" aloud. Wow.
Although the whole "aliens threatening the planet" thing is real left-field to play out, particularly within the last 15 pages or so. If the woman wanted to, you know, segue into another trilogy you'd think she could have been more tactful. Oh well. I'll forgive her if only for this line:

I forgive much if I'm moved to laughter. Sloppy closures included, obviously.
