Aug. 22nd, 2007 02:12 pmXanadu on Broadway = possibly the best thing put on God's green earth since pepper jack cheese. I don't say this lightly. Also, please note: performances on Tuesday evening start at 7PM, not 8PM. I learned this when I was standing outside the ticket counter yesterday night at 7:30PM. I missed the first thirty minutes and pissed off a couple of people as I crawled over them to my seat in the dark with the show in progress, but the hour I caught? Hilarious. The orchestra and mezzanine seats are an arm and a leg (worth it, though), but they also offer on-stage seats for half the price. On-stage seating lends itself for occasional interaction with the performers, too. There's no cast performance available on CD/iTunes for purchase, so I had to make due with a couple of tracks from the Olivia Newton-John heyday.
I'm in for work tonight but haven't been sleeping worth a damn lately. Right now I'm all edgy and can't manage to take a nap. It's taking forever for vacation to get here.
