The piehole, it has been shut.
Sep. 22nd, 2007 05:26 pmI purchased Season One of Supernatural a couple of months ago, but only got around to watching it yesterday. I'm completely sucked in. My furious lust for Jensen Ackles aside (oh, that man is so very veryveryvery pretty), I appreciate the way the writers are doing a slow reveal of the characters and the main plot thread. Even though there's the occasional painful bit of vocal exposition for the "monster(s) of the episode", the relationship between the brothers and the father is dealt with in a much more subtle intriguing manner. And Metallicar. METALLICAR! That thing stays clean even when they're tooling down muddy county roads, which is hilarious. I'm 13 episodes in, up to "Route 666"; gotta love killer cars.
Funny bit - little bro came down to the living room when I was watching this afternoon. The scene consisted of Dean and Sam speaking to each other in a relatively tender manner (tender for *them*, meaning there were names thrown here and there). Bro glanced at the screen, turned towards me, and went "bow-chicka-bow-bow". Of course, I collapsed into a pile of giggles. From the mouth of babes.
iTunes doesn't have the subscription of Stargate Atlantis Season 4 available yet (aww), but they do have the entire show up to and including Season 3 available for purchase (yayz!), along with the entire run of Babylon 5 (score!). If only I had a computer with enough memory to hold it all.
