Blue moon and all
Dec. 30th, 2009 10:42 pmToday's been surprisingly tolerable, all things considered. I recorded a weight gain this week at WW for the first time since I started the program, but I think I've been pretty pragmatic and realistic about it (cheese platters during the holiday weekend! but I have lost a crapload of weight overall) and *did* go to the meeting this evening (yay, Team Me!) I also managed to locate the music library I thought I'd accidently deleted while putting around with my HD, and now I can jam to all the songs I'd been missing. Work was pretty quiet on the whole, even with half the team out (three-quarters of the team is off tomorrow; I'm trying to block out the potential shitstorm that'll be Thursday as I type this up). Also, I've determined that use of a heating blanket works *wonders* when it comes to relieving menstrual cramps (smoothest start of a period I can recall, I tell you what).
My New Years Goals are pretty straightforward:
1. Learn to drive (the motivation to actually carry a license in a city with an extensive public transportation system? v. v. low)
2. Apply to Grad Schools
3. Get down to a BMI below 25.
4. Write daily.
5. Plan an "event" for once a week (as trying to socialize more never seems to work).
If I've been spazzy lately it's because work is bonkers. And I'm scheduled to work New Years Day and this weekend. BUT once I get past this weekend vacation starts next Thursday. Light at the end of the tunnel.
Best wishes for everyone in the upcoming year.
