fredericks: (I Love You)

The good thing about being in class with 62-odd crazed CDP students was that the "V" word was never even brought up today. There was extensive mention of Valium, though, as people were operating under the assumption that our psych med cards were due on Thursday (they've been pushed back a week, thank some nursing deity or another).

Yet again I don't have a sweetheart. Meh. Everything was chill, though. I was too tired to care, particularly after waiting 35 minutes in the cold for the bus ride home. I suppose I should be up studying for my Pharm quiz but I'm one step away from falling face-first onto the keyboard and my wake-up call for clinical is 4AM. Sucks nuts, as it took me more than an hour to fall asleep last night and I can't see myself making better time tonight. I'm not looking forward to clinical. The potential for standing cluelessly around hasn't decreased any, and tomorrow (technically TODAY, since it's 12:28AM) we're supposed to begin one-on-one patient care. It's ridiculous - we're supposed to give full AM care but when we get on the job we'll have PCTs that take care of it ("it" being bathing, feeding, and morning vitals). I'd much rather spend time learning the ins and outs of charting or calculating meds than engage in activities we did during the vast majority of our clinical last semester. Frackin' Pace.

I got two articles printed in this week's paper. I've graduated to "Staff". W00t. They misspelled my last name on the Oscar piece, though. And the editor did a good bit of fiddling around with the end of my Health Care piece. I should work on the writing, eh?

I'm happy for the people on my FL that were happy yesterday. Whee! Go on with your bad selves.

Don't worry.. I have no significant other, either.
Can you beat me? 27 years, no cards... ? [yeah, I'm feeling self-pitying at this time of year. Damn marketing scumbags that do it to us...]

And yay on "staff"!

No, I can't beat you. My brothers bone up and get some stuff on VD. Sometimes I think that's even more pathetic. *sigh*
We can trade, if you'd like.

Thanks for the "yay". :)

I always have to read twice when people use the VD acronymn.
I always think of the other meaning for some reason... even though it should be obvious at this time of the year.

I can guess people have had to say "I got VD for VD", though :)

*grin* Most of us use "VD" on purpose.
