2. I was about to start a quiet whine about how I never seem to meet anyone on the ADD ME comms and how it seems like I'm too peculiar for those places and blah blah blah emo whine and then I realized almost 2/3 of my current FL comes from gents and ladies I've been honored to find on those places. I supposed I've reached the limit of people who can tolerate me on LJ which would explain LJ friending comm society's lack of interest in me at the moment. Not that that's a bad thing, because 99% of you people are amazing. :) The 1% are those people that don't.say.anything. Is this thing on?
3. I forget what the third point was, but I've remembered something on-the-fly: the new BSG episode? Meh. Big Meh. I can't believe they couldn't keep the momentum from last week. At least Aaron's back in the picture.
4. Something else! Right. I saw the last episode of Samurai Champloo on AS's Friday Night Fix block. Is it wrong that I found myself both amused and squeal-ly fangirly when Jin showed up with long thick hair a-flowin' in the wind and gi half missing? NICE fight scenes, but honestly... And "It was heads"? Come the hell on.
I can't wait until I'm old and people in my (R)life indulge me by listening to my mini-rants.

Date: 2006-03-05 03:22 am (UTC)"stonking"? Okay, at this point I'm pretty sure you're just making these words up and trying to pass them off as Scottish slang to the hapless merkin(ette).
It took me a while to get the nerve to post in one as well. The concept of basically advertising yourself and your journal always struck me as weird. Even now it still strikes me as something that isn't quite right, but I can't deny that I've found some wonderful people using them. And I think that you generally have to worry more about the type of people your recent posting would attract rather than if anyone would want to friend you. The more internal gloomy posting tends to bring in certain readers, and they're a little peculiar. But then again you never do know.

Date: 2006-03-05 11:40 am (UTC)No, seriously - it's not really Scottish, but British slang. I guess I forget sometimes that I have to use "real" words :)
You can probably gather the meaning from the context though, since last week's episode was brilliant.
I think I just need to find happier times before I go looking for more LJ friends...
