Not.

There's a "Justice League" marathon playing on Boomerang, for those of you that have it. They've started from the first episode. I'm thrilled and recording as I type - one less reason to buy the box set. The VA was so much livelier back then (Batman expressing surprise! Flash sounding even more Rosenbaum-hawt!, Supes a whole lot more natural! Flash/Wonder Woman ship!), even if the first episode is slightly lame when it comes to plot.

I signed on in order to make an in-depth entry about my week (so much has gone on, most of it desk-worthy) but I've lost all motivation. Well, most motivation. Ignoring all that I will say that it's impossibly hard to find good Samurai Champloo fic. And I wish that young woman would add to the FMA Warfic I linked to a while back; such a cliffhanger.

Passive-aggressiveness is the new orange...meaning it's still quite off-putting and should be avoided unless you're likely to be ambulating in the middle of traffic. And before it's mentioned: I know, and I do smell the hypocrisy.

My favorite instructor had a convocation in her honor this afternoon. I said I would go a couple of months back and she responded to an e-mail of mine yesterday with the PS "see you tomorrow" and I still didn't go. My excuse was that I was in the library looking for books re: my nursing paper (for her class, btw). I hope she isn't too hurt.

I have this recurring vision that I'm in my house (not here, my house) and it's quiet. Quiet, fragrant, and peaceful. Whee! happiness.

My father and mother should really divorce and make everyone happy.

Ugh, I hear you on the fic thing. Cliffhangers I can deal with, mainly because I have to deal with them in books all of the time. Heheh.
But some fandoms are so overrun with Mary Sues and just generally bad fics it's not even funny.
Speaking of impossible to find fics, I wish there were bigger fandoms (minus the Sues) for books I've read. I could really go for a huge pile of Cheysuli fics right now.

I have no patience and very little impulse control. Cliffs kill.

The reason I've avoided fics for so long is that I'm deathly afraid of bad ones. There's so much horrendousness out there - not even bad characterizations (which, you know, 4 out of 5 fics) but simple grammatical and spelling sloppiness - it's scary. It makes me want to put my thoughts to paper even more.

I've wanted to get going on some Coldfire fic for the longest and there seems to be none. Or it's hidden very well. What other fandoms are you looking out for?

I know exactly what you mean about the sloppiness of it all. I've seen some that would be good if the author knew what "spellcheck" was.

If you look around enough, particularly on the lj community called "Hunter's Forest", there's some pretty good Coldfire fics floating around. I have a bunch of them stashed in my favorites on my laptop computer. I can send them to you if you want me to.

Aside from Coldfire fics, I'm dying to read some good ones for Chronicles of the Cheysuli and Dragon Prince. Maybe some Wheel of Time if I could find any that were about people other than the main character or his girlfriends.
I've seen a whopping two Cheysuli fics, and both of them were disgusting Sues.

Ooooh, good Coldfire fics? Please do send them over if you can. I'll go check out HF in a day or two.

I can imagine what can be done with the DP dimension. But my mind's been so sullied by the latter WoT books I don't think I could even bother looking for works from there.

Yeah, WoT 6-10 took me forever to read because they just didn't catch my interest as much as the first 5 (and the most recent one) did. There's a whole section of fics for it on ff.net, but they're all either Sues or just plain bad.

I'll dig out my laptop tomorrow and send you those fics I have stashed away. There are a few individual ones, and some kind of archive site full of them too. Well, I say "full" but there still aren't as many as we'd like.

I just never could get into any of the superhero shows except x-men. I think it stems from my aversion to lots of muscles on men. Or maybe spandex. I totally dig surehero names and secret identities though, go figure.

I wish you quiet sometime in your future. ...And I get it about your father and mother--at least that's how I feel about mine. But I don't live with them right now, and I can't imagine actually living with them.
