Viva Las Vegas Indeed
May. 30th, 2006 03:59 pmVegas was AWESOME. The hotel room was spectacular (Caesars, baby!), caught a couple of shows (Cirque du Soleil's "O", Avenue Q), touched "Thunder from Down Under" ass (so hard! VIP seats, oh yeah!), and otherwise forgot about my troubles for a bit. I can't wait to go back. Took a bunch of pics that I'll post once I locate the USB cable.
I realized today that I'm going to turn 26 in two weeks. TWENTY-SIX. For a while I'd thought I was turning 25. I don't know why I was so startled by it, aside from feeling like I'm old and quite out-of-the-loop.

Date: 2006-05-31 01:50 am (UTC)I went with not a lot of money, which was okay as my aunt paid for housing and the bulk of our meals. By the time I ponied up for the shows I wanted to see I had next to nothing left. I gambled a little but lost what I played, and spent the last two dollars I had on a pastry the morning we were to leave. I went home with my wallet so empty it was emitting dust bunnies. Next time I'll buy as many of my tickets in advance and just play the tables; the slot machines are money hogs but it's a fast thrill I'm trying to wean myself off of.
And no trading. Health and luck willing I'll get to 33 soon enough. Then I'll start bitching about it. Yay! predictability. :)
