I use my amazing powers of...thought?
Jun. 2nd, 2006 11:02 pmPreemptively stolen meme by way of
laughingirl.
1. I'll respond with something random about you.
2. I'll challenge you to try something.
3. I'll pick a color that I associate with you.
4. I'll tell you something I like about you.
5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
6. I'll tell you what animal you remind me of.
7. I'll ask you something I've always wanted to ask you.
If I do this for you, then you must (no pressure, though -me) post this on yours.
These are fun and this time I intend to be truthful and, you know, spend time on my replies. Or mayhaps I'm just a masochist with flashes of sadism for good measure.

Date: 2006-06-11 02:54 am (UTC)Challenge for you: I'm not so good with the challenges. How about...share five bad things about FMA. That's meant to be completely open and somewhat ambiguous, btw.
Color associated with you: Forest Green (http://www.libertysignshoppe.com/vinyl.gif). These things, I can't really explain the "whys" of, okay?
One thing I like about you: Your choice of reading material.
First/Clearest Memory Of You: Weird with the whole online thing, but I do recall being thrilled to find another big Coldfire fan (love your Yahoo handle, btw *grin*).
Animal You Remind Me Of:Something quiet yet with purposeful movement. Hmm. A brown mackerel tabby domestic longhair perhaps? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Longhair_Tabby_JaJa.jpg)
And fine, I picked that particular feline because I love the fact that it's lying on a pen. Mightier than the sword, indeed.
What I've Always Wanted to Ask You: Is your hometown really called Niceville?

Date: 2006-06-11 03:35 am (UTC)1. After a certain point, the anime is completely different from the manga, and I really wish they hadn't done that.
2. A few of the characters have random Japanese names, when the rest of them have European/Western names. That bugs me.
3. Especially early in the series, the main plot gets sidetracked by random "Hey help us do _____!" episodes/chapters, which drives me nuts no matter what series it is. It's not so bad later on though.
4. Anime-only characters. There's a pretty good number of them and I don't really like any of them.
5. Waiting for new manga chapters. They only come out once a month, and recently they haven't been clearing up anything I want more info on. Heheh.
The color you picked is creepy, because that's one of my favorite colors. Heheheh. And same thing with the cat.
XD I was so happy to find another Coldfire fan too. There are too few of us.
And yes, my hometown really is called Niceville. I get that question on a pretty regular basis, along with all of the attending jokes and puns. XD

Date: 2006-06-11 04:27 am (UTC)And boy am I glad I didn't make the quip about Niceville that I planned on doing. :/
But still...Niceville? Whyohwhy? Heh.

Date: 2006-06-11 02:13 pm (UTC)lol, I have no idea why they named this place Niceville. I suppose it's better than the original name, which was 'Boggy', but it's still weird. Some of the kids in my highschool band started responding to the "Is it nice there?" question with "Actually, it started as a prison colony." It's not true, but we had to have some fun with it. XD
