I'm totally excited about the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie, and I can't help laughing each time I see the commercials. Mostly because Johnny Depp is so...flamboyant, for lack of a better word. :P

That too. My movies to see this summer are Pirates of the Caribbean, Superman Returns, and...well, I think Cars was up there. Saw that, so I'm 1/3rds of the way through.

Orlando Bloom remains easy on the eyes but he really needs to keep his mouth shut. There's a pretty Orlando...be quiet, dear, we're trying to fantasize...

I chose 'regular theatre'. I'll see it out of loyalty to comic-based films, and of course Bryan Singer. But the trailers just make it look totally underwhelming. I'm finding it hard to care, and for something like this that's quite a big thing for me.

The one thing I'm a bit uneasy about is the way it seems a direct take-off on the first movie. Fine, the theme is a classic but the actor they have playing Supes looks a lot like Christopher Reeve. And the trailers don't tell me *anything* about what's going on, nor does it give me a chance to see any of the actors actually, you know, *acting*. Never a good sign. But it looks beautiful. As the looks are the main thing drawing me in I feel I might as well check out the movie on a huge screen, hence IMAX.

I had no clue. And as I can't remember much about Superman II (was that the one with Zod and Co.?) I'll be going in completely unspoiled. Yay!
