One small step

Dear PTI,

Please take Dan Le Batard (or "Dan Le Bastard", as I've taken to dubbing him) and kick him out of the studio. No more, I say, no more shall this man be allowed to take Wilbon's place in absentia. His opinions are ridiculous, his voice grates, he's making my headache worse, and do you guys not see the way his lip scrunches up when he's trying to be "on"?? Seriously, stop it. Just stop it now.

P.S. - Where's Wilbon? Like, WTF?

P.P.S. - Seriously, like NOW, stop it. No, like yesterday stop it. I expect to go to the PTI archives in the near future, view the video from 3/7/07, and see Wilbon's mug plastered over Le Bastard's, akin to a Lucas job on the original Star Wars (no guns/guns, etc).

And I respect your opinion. :) I find Kornheiser's old school-ness part of his personal charm. He isn't a vocal bash-you-over-the-head with it traditionalist, and he isn't afraid to get some ribbing from Wilbon about his foggeyisms.

K. said something rather revealing about this time on MNF during one show. He was talking about another person, a person who was making the transition from athlete to commentator, and he said it's often difficult to jockey for vocal air time while in the booth and you often feel pressure to be "on" and make whatever you manage to say really count (or bring the snark). I say give him some time to get comfortable, but he's not going to be a quick snappy commentator. I figure he won't last very long.
