Sunday Nocturne
Apr. 6th, 2003 11:48 pmAh, the infamous daylight saving. It's amazing, when you think about it. All you do is set your clock forward and *boom* you feel like you're really losing an hour. In all actuality you're just balancing out the scales since we did "fall back" in October. The only problem I have with it at the moment is that we "increase" the amount of sunlight. I feel like a vampire. My dislike of wandering around in the light is so intense I'm afraid I might end up with rickets. Which would be cool in a vicarious-pirate sort of way.
Dwayne's bball team won their championship game last night in a double OT nailbiter. Apparently Jeffrey (Jeffrey!!) hit the game-winning lay-up. Amazing. I wish I had been there to see it.
When mom called and told me that this morning (what, around 10:30?) I was still in my sleep shirt and my non-churchgoing ass swore it was Palm Sunday. I told her as much and she laughed. Thank goodness dad wasn't around. I mean, the man doesn't go to church either but he gives me a hard time about it.
I'm sort of re-reading what I wrote at the moment. It's funny. I've been an emotional blank for a while now. It's the reason why my entries have been sparse as of late. And why this one reads like a laundry list.
It's supposed to snow on Monday into Tuesday. I can't wait. I have nothing on Tuesday so I fully intend to lay in bed with the window open, watching it all occur into the night. Hopefully accounting will be cancelled on Monday night...
