Early morning insight.

I'm cooking for mom's birthday dinner (I actually started cooking last night at 2:30AM, because working 12-hour night shifts royally screw up one's sleep schedule) and...you know, blue cheese is disgusting. There's MOLD. In CHEESE. Moldy stuff should be thrown out. It shouldn't be warmed up with spinach. Like, no. I figure this out after the fact.

I'm improv'ing this entree where I stuff chicken breasts with spinach, toasted walnuts, apricots, and the aforementioned blue cheese, wrap the whole deal in hickory-smoked bacon, pan-sear 'em, then finish them off in the oven. Didn't realize the blue cheese would taste so horrid. I might have to find some wild rice somewhere to help with the flavor, as I'm too lazy to chuck the whole thing and start from scratch.

It's in the garbage. Take Two.

Oh, I'm sorry, is this Livejournal? For the last couple of days I've been thinking I had a Twitter account. My bad.
