I'm sitting here watching what may be my favorite episode of Frasier ever, "Merry Christmas, Mrs. Moskowitz". Like most every episode of this show, the comedy derives from characters refraining from explaining what the hell is going on, and the frantic actions that take place as "tragedy" is averted. No matter how many times I see this eppy, Frasier's exclamation of "JESUS!" as Niles emerges from the kitchen dressed as, well, Jesus Christ, makes me laugh so hard tears start to flow. I can be a simple simple woman at times.

I've begun revisiting Sims 2, because I now have a computer I can play it on. I made two guys, and started them on the path to Sim Happiness. One's enamored with Don Lothario and, as the name suggests, his paramour is not exactly the paragon of monogamy. As my character's satisfaction seemed to hinge on spending time with Don, I had Don move in with my character, only to discover Don had another boyfriend and three other girlfriends and one of Don's fears was getting a marriage proposal from my character. Cue the "reset without saving" option. My other character is engaged to a woman, but I have no idea how to get them married. Life lessons?

Something I saw on a bus ad: Clay Aiken's joining the Broadway cast of Spamalot. By all rights (and all that's holy), the man *should* be playing Sir Lancelot, but I figure his agent might have been against that one. *snort* Narnia-size, the closet that man's in, God bless him.

Valentine's Day is just around the corner. Joy. Let me start stocking up on the beer from now.

I really really liked it before Niles and Daphne became a couple. The tension as Niles dealt with his unrequited feelings made for excellent TV. When they ran off to get eloped, though, I found myself not watching the show anymore. Where could they go from there? Now we'd have to deal with Frasier constantly hooking up with women while maintaining he could never get a date (ha). I think I empathized with Niles alot.
