It feels like it's been forever since I've had three nights off in a row, and I don't know what to do with myself. This being my third night I keep fighting the urge to take a nap (in preparation for a shift). Work's been so draining lately that haven't been able to find the energy to hang out, but I've been making real nice with my TV. I discovered Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares on BBC-America Saturday and, let me tell you - if it was possible to engage in relations with a television show I would be completely sexed out right now. "Awesome" does not come close to capturing my feelings about the show and/or Mr. Ramsay. Saturday was also the day I sucked it up and watched The Wire. I'd stopped altogether after the events 28 minutes into episode 58. Damn; I cannot wait until March 9th (the little clip of Clay Davis saying "sheeeeee-it" when you attempt to play the eppy on On-Demand is plenty funny, btw).

Dragon-Con is a go. The three main hotels are sold out of rooms at the Con rate, but [livejournal.com profile] atraxia snagged one at the Sheraton. I can't believe the rooms sold out so quickly - the Con's still six months away, peoples! I'll pay for my pass once I get the motivation to hook up my printer, or the cojones to print out the admission paperwork at work.

...God, I'm feeling so damn lazy. Hmm. How to combat this?

Anyway, to continue - I have a Goodreads page that [livejournal.com profile] zelle999 managed to get me using again. I'm slowly adding more books to my page. For those that don't know - Goodreads is a virtual library. You make a page and add what books you're reading, what books you plan on reading, rate books you've read, and many other things that I haven't gotten around to yet. You can recommend books for your friends, chat up other book lovers, and otherwise be a happy little flower on the 'netz.

Think that's all at the moment. Although, since I've gotten the energy to post this, I'll most likely end up making more unsubstantial posts during the course of the evening. Joy.

Did you get the album? I never bothered with Year Zero, so I'm wondering if this one will be worth the $5. And, yeah, that second link did make me LOL as well. *grin*

Yay for Dragon*Con! I booked my hotel in early November so we're at the Hyatt. We'll have to connect at some point!

I had no idea it was so crazy. I said next year, if I go, I'll book as early as possible and stay in the Marquis, because it seems like such a gnarly hotel. Hopefully this year won't be too traumatizing. :) And we should definitely hook up sometime. I'm going to need n00b pointers and tips.

Heh. The Marriott (the best one to stay in, IMO) has been booked since early January. It's insane.

I really had no clue. Now I know. :) I give the Sheraton a month before it's completely sold out.
