Watching the gold metal women's beach volleyball match, which is going on in the midst of what appears to be a driving rainstorm, is sorta like indulging in some classy porn. Thank you, NBC, for diverting me from sleep.

I should be sleeping. Why am I not sleeping? The bags under my eyes are entering scary territory. Is it Friday already?

I have my tablet open and I'm sort of working, which makes me feel a little better, but I know KNOW I should be sleeping because my alarm clock's going to go off in five hours and I just can't get around to it. Situational insomnia? who knows. :(

When the two Americans were celebrating their win I said aloud "and NOW they start making out". Wished it, too. They didn't oblige. I was upset for a little while.
