Down here for Dragon*Con, and I flew in yesterday. The Con officially starts today (Friday), so yesterday consisted of making my way to the hotel and picking up our passes for the weekend. They started giving out the passes at 4PM, and I'd been lulled into complacency by a number of posts on the Dragon*Con comm where people mentioned they'd gone to pick up passes in years past early in the day with no problem, and I hung out in the room showering and decompressing from the flight, getting out to the Hyatt around 4:20PM. The line was bonkers, yo. Around the hotel and around again. And then you get side and it sort of wound around and around *again*. But, whatever. Two hours on my feet and I received our passes. Dinner was a visit to Benihana (my first time; a shame, as they're bankrupt, no?), quite fun.
Nerdy stuff to do today. Must get crackin'.
