Stylistically and thematically they're similar (chivalric actions from males, a protagonist who goes on about how he's not the fastest or strongest but does heroic deeds using logic, smarts, and "heart"). I figure head to the bookstore and read the first, say, 50 pages or so of the first novel. If you find yourself thinking "what next?", plunk down the cash.
