it's strange that it went straight to nbc without stopping at cable channel (or being completely re-cast, re-done, and canceled). I'm tuning in as well!

Heh. After all the damn slash fic I've devoured in the fandom it's hard to watch without seeing all the UST. After nearly every scene I find myself saying "oh my god, there's totally doing each other". I never want to grow up.

Thank you! That's exactly what I said yesterday. Except I said it to my grandmother, who responded with, "Who's Merlin?" ::sigh:: I feel like an angst-ridden teenager again. No one in this state understands me.

We were in the middle of Father's Day dinner and I glanced at the guide channel, gasped, said "wait, Merlin's on NBC??", then disappeared until the end of the second episode. So you're not quite alone in the fam not joining in the on fun. I do think you'll find some like-minded folks if you give it some time, though. Not in the home but outside of it. One day at a time.
