Scraps are the best part!

I have a lot of stuff. I didn't mean to begin my entry like that, but I found myself looking around my room (post clutter-reduction effort) and being boggled by all the books, DVDs, and various papers I've managed to hang onto over the last couple of years. Don't ask me what I think I'll be doing with the woefully inept Spanish-to-English dictionary from elementary school that's crammed in the bottom level of my bookshelf. And I won't even mention the boxes of crumbling and unreadable books I have in the basement. I fear my packrat tendencies will not bode well when it comes to moving.
Most of the weekend was spent chilling in DE w/
atraxia, discovering the vast wilderness that is the Nation's First State (they're inordinately proud of that designation). She was kind enough to tote me over state lines into PA on Saturday so we could attend my cousin's 5th bday party at the Philadelphia Zoo. Have to say, Philly Zoo beats Bronx Zoo only because it feels larger and wasn't as crowded. Sunday I came back into NY and saw the newest Harry Potter in IMAX; I was not impressed. Although there was a good bit of Snape in it, and more RIckman always brightens up my day.
WW is progressing nicely. I can't believe I've only been doing it for three weeks; these last couple of weeks have really dragged, and I'm hard-pressed to say why. Work remains work. Social life remains...whatever it's leveled off to recently. I'm going to have to start making a conscious effort to find people with similar interests and fun events around the city. That being said, I also am going to have to look for a mental health professional (I'm way too complacent lately, it's a bit disturbing).
DragonCon continues to loom in the distance, and I'm still excited about it. Can't believe it's almost August.
And I didn't see Torchwood: CoE Day 5. I figure I didn't miss that much. So so Joss'd it there, didn't you Davies?
