Small effort, but an effort nonetheless

Today's picture - my workspace. Apt, I thought, for a Monday when I'm trying to initiate a motivational project. Lord knows I hate going into work Monday morning, but I do like my profession and even occasionally find myself enjoying what I do in my little bit of office space. Though I need to take more pictures during the course of a day or this well will dry up right quick.
I decided to start easy today, and focused on breaking old habits/actions and restarting my exercise routine after a break over the weekend (according to my Wii it'd been five days since I worked out and it was sorely disappointed; it still continues to groan like it's Atlas re-shouldering the weight of the world when I step on it). The old habit I decided to put aside: wearing earphones during my morning commute. Today I tried to pay a little more attention to those around me (while maintaining subway etiquette and avoiding eye contact, of course) and read during my rides to and from. I think this is one thing I'll try to keep up for the rest of the month, just because it felt a little invigorating to not zone out so much while reading.
Like I said, today was an easy day. But cool nonetheless. Baby steps and all that.
It feels odd to say that it's March. I'm all "March? Already?? Jesus." Like I don't look at a calendar at least five times a day. But, really. Wow.
