So there's this show called Mad Men that airs on AMC every now and then. Don't know if anyone's heard of it. *snort* As per my usual M.O., I've joined the bandwagon quite late. Caught part of what I think was the pilot episode yesterday during a mini-marathon and thought it was v. pretty and charming in its own way, then decided to spend my Amazon gift card on the three seasons out on DVD. I'm hoping to catch up with the show before the season 4 premiere on July 25th.

Haven't felt much like posting lately, but it's cyclical. I'm currently in the middle of one of my more subdued turtle-y periods. I signed up to take the GREs the 3rd week of September. I do hope I manage to study some before next month hits. The East Coast is in the middle of this heat wave; all the temps around the city read 101 - 102 degrees F. I wanted to snap photos for posterity's sake, but I figured it was too hot to justify the energy expended to pull my camera out of my bag.

Tomorrow = more heat + humidity! Joy. And me without any A/C.

I've been meaning to watch Mad Men for a while too. I got a "Download the first episode for free!" thing when I spent too much at Banana Republic one time and it seems like something I would enjoy. Maybe I'll get the first couple of dvds at Blockbuster after my sister leaves on Friday.

It really is a wonderfully shot show, from an eye palette standpoint. Folks seem to favor it, and the smallest section I've seen seemed intriguing. I think it's rent-worthy.

I love Mad Men. I've seen the first two seasons only, however.

It's up to s3, right? the way folks still talk about it I don't think it's had much a downturn in quality. I'm optimistic about the show and might end up marathoning it on Sunday.

Madmen is awesome! I love it although I don't really like any of the characters. It's weird. I am not loving these record temps. What the hell, I moved north to escape the heat! I should not be sweating bullets at 5 in the morning. At least the cave is staying tolerable. It sounds like a wind tunnel with all the fans I've got going though!

I'd think your prime location would definitely help in keeping things cool. :) Yeah, it's not fun at all. I was sweating major bullets ironing my clothes this evening, and I've woken up with my shirt soaked the last two days. The faster this weather breaks the better I'll feel. I find myself seriously wondering about electrolyte depletion and heat exhaustion for MYSELF, not to mention my patients.
