A short word

Yay! to tomorrow being Friday. Boo! to my possibly having to work this weekend. "Possibly" because there are a lot of nurses signed up to work and one of my bosses asked if I wanted to be taken off weekend rotation. Maybe. He first asked if I didn't want to work either day, and then if I wanted to only work one day. I feel like I'm still recovering from this past weekend and I'm fighting off some sort of slight cold symptoms where I feel a little chilled/feverish at the end of the day, so I'd like to just have the weekend to rest in my bed and watch some more Mad Men. Or find a place to hold a party for my mom (turning 50; and here I was bitching about turning 30 a little while back). But, yes, boo! to weekend shifts.

A surprise yay! to Portuguese. Which I discovered today totally gets my motor running when I listen to it. I also feel the urge to rent books on tape in the language to tote around.

Another yay! to the weather recently. I pulled out my flannel shirt this morning. I'm loving it.
