I said I would wait until rush hour passed to brave the ride home, but it's 4:51 and I'm tired of sitting in this damned computer lab listening to the old printer wheezing out documents behind me. Homeward bound.

When I left the house my mom was in my room. It wigged me out. I'm fairly certain she went through all the stuff in my drawers, spewed on the floor, and whatnot.

Shake and Co has King's "Dark Tower" in a box on the floor in the backroom. They've had it since the 17th, and I saw it there as I was clocking in yesterday. I had half a mind to pick up one of the boxes and walk out with it. But sanity took hold. Tomorrow's the day. Should I wait for it to come out in the library (and fight for one of the three (?!?!?) copies that'll be on display) or buy it outright, using my employee discount for the last time? Eh. Choices choices.

Song of Susannah? I thought it was already out. Maybe I'm wrong, I haven't been to the bookstore in awhile, but I've been waiting for it as well.

Or maybe your speaking of something else. Let me know what you think. I've got 4 books in my que before I get to the next Dark Tower book.

The last one

Book Seven, titled, fittingly enough "The Dark Tower". Comes out on the 21st. Last book in the series. Wraps it all up with a bloody bow.

Or not. I'm just really wanting to read this book.

Wow that was fast. I must be out of touch. Guess that makes five books in my cue. Thanks for the info.

PS, forgot to ask earlier. Is that a Firefly icon in your LJ? Thought I was the only fan of that briefly aired show.

Dooooood, sheyeah. You are not alone. It was a quirky show, and I think if it had gotten a chance to progress beyond 11(?) episodes, it could have gathered steam and kept going. The out-of-sequence way the episodes were shown really didn't help keep fans at all. I was lucky in that I didn't get into the show until after it'd hit the boxed set circuit (like the bulk of fans, I'm sad to say; I just could never find it on Fox!).

You do know they've just wrapped the movie and it's in post-production, right? I think it's coming out early next year? I forget exactly when.

I've always been a Joss Whedon fan so I was following it right up until it started airing until its sad termination. My biggest complaint was that they showed the series pilot at the very end, I believe. It was one of my favorites. Really all in all I loved the series, however brief.

Where I live it was on I think Friday Nights just before John Doe, which I also liked. I had no idea they had made a movie. That should be cool. I had heard rumors that they were going to try pitching it to the Sci Fi channel. Never heard what happened however. Would love to see any new content on that show.
