I have been deceived! Luckily Ticketmaster Alert has kept me in the know. Nine Inch Nail's going to be playing Hammerstein the 5th and 6th of May!! How uber-cool is that?!?! OMIGOD OMIGOD OMIGOD! Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 5PM. Oh man, I really want to go. I wonder if I'll suck it up and pay.

Trent Trent TRENT! I'm still coming down off the last tour, and that was like 5 years ago. Mein Gott.

I need to check my eyes for a sec. I thought you said "Australian Wiggers" and I thought to myself "That's an awesome band name - I wonder if they're punk". I'm tired, what can I say? The heck are the Wiggles? Are you pulling my leg?

Heh. Yeah, meeting up with this person would be...awkward. But interesting, nonetheless.

NIN is the only band I've seen in concert (my mom took me to see Janet Jackson during her "Janet" tour but that doesn't count because 1)we were in the nosebleed section of Jones Beach freezing our asses of and 2)Janet Jackson can't sing or play an instrument). I went to the show up in Providence RI (where I went to school). I was one of maybe a handful of black people there and I was the ONLY person not dressed in black goth wear with the co-requisite piercings (I wore my typical Old Navy RED pullover, blue jeans, and running shoes - can you say "stand out like a sore thumb"?). The concert openers were A Perfect Circle (and this was before I'd heard about Tool, so I had no idea who the lead singer was, except for the fact that he seemed a bit nervous). The venue was rather empty, and so I was sort of hoping that maybe maybe this time around NY would be not so hard to get tickets for. But...I guess not.

Yeah, I just wanted an excuse to tell someone about my last concert experience. Sorry you got stuck with the details, dearie. *grin*

Australian Wiggers IS a great name for a band. The Wiggles, however, are four men who are like the Beatles of the toddler-set. They sing and dance and are major Australian stars, dontcha know. Check out www.thewiggles.com.au My child is in love with the yellow one, though the blue one is the "hottie" of the group in my personal opinion.

I can't even believe you've only been to one concert, girl (and no, Janet Jackson doesn't count, for the same reason I BARELY count Destiny's Child as one of the ones I've been to because 1) TOTALLY LIP SYNCHING and 2) I was working the Rock the Vote booth and couldn't really see the stage.. Actually it was funny because Eve was touring too, and her CD TOTALLY STARTED SKIPPING in the middle of her song. I guess you would call that, "pulling an Ashlee" nowadays. So they had to stop the song and fix her CD and all of us rockers in the crowd who were pretty much there just working, laughed our behinds off.. Wow that was a long story) but yeah, next time the Wiggles stop in New York, you HAVE TO GO now that we're internet buddies, and take pictures for my kid.. or something.

That's funny though about standing out like a sore thumb. I was the only preppy girl in a sea of 15,000 black t-shirt wearin' rockers at Ozzfest.

I really hope you get to go to NIN. Trent Reznor is totally one of those uglysexy guys. He'll never come to Albuquerque either, though! Can you tell I'm bitter? There's a recurring theme here - - No one ever comes here unless they REEEALLY need the money.

Yeah, sort of out of the way for the touring folk. You need to invest in a private jet. All of your problems would be solved.

The crappy thing is that it isn't really out of the way. Someone going from Texas (I dunno, Dallas, let's say) to Denver could stop here. We're in the middle, kinda. Or Dallas to Phoenix is a straight shot over Albuquerque. We're just the bastard child of the United States.
