New year, same as the first...
Dec. 6th, 2005 04:47 pmSearch your Archive and find the first entry for each month of 2005. Post the first line of it in your journal, and that's your 'Year In Review'.
1. New Year's Eve was spent in the company of family.
2. 88 Reasons Why Sisko Was The Best Trek Captain. [I still believe that, btw].
3. It snowed yesterday.
4. I've been distracted lately by things that take away from the now.
5. I feel bad.
6. Today's word is shock.
7. In the mail came my revised financial aid statement from Pace, the statement whose reception I've been dreading for roughly a month.
8.What I find most amusing about the whole Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas fallout - the one about the code that allows you to engage in sexual relations with the "Coffee Lady" the news has been talking about lately - is that 4 out of 5 players of the game had no idea the damn cheat existed.
The line above is a bit of a fudge. The first entry for that month is Friends Locked. Surprise! I use that option from time to time.
9. Hey - want to do something but don't know what?
10. I love the Fuzzy Elf.
11. It's a lucky thing I decided to talk to my classmate before getting down to business because I found out the exam I thought was on Thursday is actually tomorrow (surprise!)
12. A Flash that answers the questions "What if Ryu and Scorpion were to fight?" and "Is Sakura the biggest throwaway character ever?"
Please excuse the bad grammar - I have problems of style.
It's interesting to take a look back, even briefly (if I was half as talented as
twoworldsin1 I would attempt a real "Year in Review", but I know how much you all can stand *grin* - hells, I don't even think I'd bother to read it myself). I'm working on my resolution and hopefully in a year or so I'll have enough income to make it possible. Not much has changed since then. I'm still me, for good or for ill, and I'm leaning towards "ill" at the moment. It's not that I've designated tonight Emo Night, just that I'm very emotional. Out-of-sorts. I felt very...nervous, for lack of a better term...on the ride home. Butterflies in the stomach and everything. It's like a fear response of sorts, and, on the whole, my emotions are on 11. I watched a Brokeback Mountain special on LOGO and started crying. It wasn't a dam break but there were numerous tears. Then I checked out the (in)famous Leroy Jenkins thing
urbanspell had linked to in his journal and I laughed entirely too long and too hard. I'm beginning to get weirded out.

Date: 2005-12-06 11:31 pm (UTC)You may be right though, Sisko may very well have been the best Captain. Janeway was dull.. Picard.. too righteous... never watched Enterprise, and Kirk.. well, let's leave it at that. Sisko though - he was te focal point of a religion!
Leeroy Jenkins...
Since I play WoW, I see the 'aftermath' a lot. Players with names similar. But definite comedy platinum, and will be remembered for years most likely.
They were supposedly making more vids [it was a sketch], but no idea what ever happened to it

Re: Leroy Jenkins
Just thinking about that makes me break into giggles. I thought it was a sketch! The calculation for battle success sort of gave it away. *grin* I hope they do another one.
