1x2foralways I met at queerasfolkfans and we got better acquainted through a Queer as Folk RP I ran for a short while. I also met a couple of other people over there, all of them wonderfully pervy: fauxorzayus, devoosha, citizenjess, witchylass, marinwood, living_kindness, poobaby728, and lostmiseashellz. joeyrz too! [D'oh!] I was her personal Tivo for a little while. *grin* I loved getting people their badly scripted and totally cheesy fun QAF.

adastra16 I found by doing a LJ interest search on The Coldfire Trilogy. A first, I'm pretty sure kommisar found me. I think he was intrigued by my more open postings way back when I started the journal and my tales of working in the school cafeteria (God do I miss DJing and forcing the masses to listen to my musical selections).

I'm convinced I found candicelbj's journal one night doing a random search, although I may be wrong. I think I found saphirrisse's the same way.

I've met two people via sesuadra: quenya_tattoo, who used to be moderator over there in a former life, and xwinterwolfx, whom I occasionally feel comfortable dubbing Orlando (because I'm special like that).

Damn, zelle999, how'd we meet up? I feel convinced I stalked you for a bit and then we realized we were sisters from another mother or something of that nature. Random search, anyone?

I've only met, face-to-face, four of the people on the Friend's List (not that I'm complaining about that, although now you all should take treks to NY to visit me). urbanspell I sort of knew before he knew me, as he worked in the Registrar's Office, was it? One of those. I saw his posts at cunyhunter (teabags also posted over there). I walked up to him after having dealt with him a number of times and was like "Are you ____"? and he was like "Who the hell is this chick?" No. He was very polite. *grin* sibyline, laughingirl, and sternel I met via the nycbookclub meetings [I totally plan on finishing the book this weekend, too].

endgame50 I've known for basically forever when it comes to my 'net life. I'm pretty sure he was the first friend (and I feel confident in using the "f" word, at least on my side of the equation) I made online...maybe 9 years ago? I can't remember. Red Dragon Inn; oh, the memories.

The lot of you (waves to snacktastic, aubkabob, bbart,darker_one, daymare47, destroyrapture, djinuper, earenfana, ellyssian, emily_goddess, faedrake, fallen_ophelia, fatgoblin, frosty_pickle, lab_brat, layana1980, lasombrakate, light_over_me, living_daemon, lostcrackerjack, lunajewels, melancthe, peacelizard, phoenix_raging, pr_spin_girl, raven_star, rwarner, stop_no_dont, taii, thegoodgoddess, theoban, tjfalcon, twoworldsin1, uuljaar, vladspod, waremtae, wc_dragon, wyldemusick and (last but not least) xioley (whew!) I'm 99% sure I met through the various add_me communities I've found in the last couple of months or so. ...et tu, orpheus78? Either that or it was a random search thing.

I think that's it. Hmm. Sure is a lot of people. And I don't hear from more than half of y'all. It's like family. Watch I hit the LJ lottery or something and everyone'll start crawling out of the woodworks. Heh.

Wow....Red Dragon Inn. That sounds very familiar. Think there was a chat area named that on an old "online service" I was on back in the fall of '91. The service was called Quantum Link, it was for Commodore 64/128 users. *hides* Yes, I just proved how ancient I am. :)

Oh man, I remember that. Quantum Link became Q-Link which was, I believe the early basis for AOL. Before that it was Geos. Oh man, I'm old.

Yes, both of you are ancient. I'm surprised y'all haven't turned to dust and blown away in the wind yet.

I pranced around the RDI found on AOL proper (carried over from Q-Link, I guess). It was rather idiotic, as the rooms were populated by kids who, for the most part, had no idea how to role play and kept hitting on other characters for absolutely no reason.

Yep, back in those days you just ignored most of them... once in a while a half-way decent RP opportunity presented itself.
