fredericks: (Oh Snap!!)
A hearty "Happy Birthday" wish for [livejournal.com profile] fauxorzayus, you wascally QAF-loving bastard you.

Search your Archive and find the first entry for each month of 2005. Post the first line of it in your journal, and that's your 'Year In Review'.

1. New Year's Eve was spent in the company of family.

2. 88 Reasons Why Sisko Was The Best Trek Captain. [I still believe that, btw].

3. It snowed yesterday.

4. I've been distracted lately by things that take away from the now.

5. I feel bad.

6. Today's word is shock.

7. In the mail came my revised financial aid statement from Pace, the statement whose reception I've been dreading for roughly a month.

8.What I find most amusing about the whole Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas fallout - the one about the code that allows you to engage in sexual relations with the "Coffee Lady" the news has been talking about lately - is that 4 out of 5 players of the game had no idea the damn cheat existed.

The line above is a bit of a fudge. The first entry for that month is Friends Locked. Surprise! I use that option from time to time.

9. Hey - want to do something but don't know what?

10. I love the Fuzzy Elf.

11. It's a lucky thing I decided to talk to my classmate before getting down to business because I found out the exam I thought was on Thursday is actually tomorrow (surprise!)

12. A Flash that answers the questions "What if Ryu and Scorpion were to fight?" and "Is Sakura the biggest throwaway character ever?"

Please excuse the bad grammar - I have problems of style.
It's interesting to take a look back, even briefly (if I was half as talented as [livejournal.com profile] twoworldsin1 I would attempt a real "Year in Review", but I know how much you all can stand *grin* - hells, I don't even think I'd bother to read it myself). I'm working on my resolution and hopefully in a year or so I'll have enough income to make it possible. Not much has changed since then. I'm still me, for good or for ill, and I'm leaning towards "ill" at the moment. It's not that I've designated tonight Emo Night, just that I'm very emotional. Out-of-sorts. I felt very...nervous, for lack of a better term...on the ride home. Butterflies in the stomach and everything. It's like a fear response of sorts, and, on the whole, my emotions are on 11. I watched a Brokeback Mountain special on LOGO and started crying. It wasn't a dam break but there were numerous tears. Then I checked out the (in)famous Leroy Jenkins thing [livejournal.com profile] urbanspell had linked to in his journal and I laughed entirely too long and too hard. I'm beginning to get weirded out.

Okay, [livejournal.com profile] sibyline: I'm awake and officially wasting time, I wanna do it too. *grin*

If I'm off-base with any of these, please let me know.

[livejournal.com profile] 1x2foralways I met at [livejournal.com profile] queerasfolkfans and we got better acquainted through a Queer as Folk RP I ran for a short while. I also met a couple of other people over there, all of them wonderfully pervy: [livejournal.com profile] fauxorzayus, [livejournal.com profile] devoosha, [livejournal.com profile] citizenjess, [livejournal.com profile] witchylass, [livejournal.com profile] marinwood, [livejournal.com profile] living_kindness, [livejournal.com profile] poobaby728, and [livejournal.com profile] lostmiseashellz. [livejournal.com profile] joeyrz too! [D'oh!] I was her personal Tivo for a little while. *grin* I loved getting people their badly scripted and totally cheesy fun QAF.

[livejournal.com profile] adastra16 I found by doing a LJ interest search on The Coldfire Trilogy. A first, I'm pretty sure [livejournal.com profile] kommisar found me. I think he was intrigued by my more open postings way back when I started the journal and my tales of working in the school cafeteria (God do I miss DJing and forcing the masses to listen to my musical selections).

I'm convinced I found [livejournal.com profile] candicelbj's journal one night doing a random search, although I may be wrong. I think I found [livejournal.com profile] saphirrisse's the same way.

I've met two people via [livejournal.com profile] sesuadra: [livejournal.com profile] quenya_tattoo, who used to be moderator over there in a former life, and [livejournal.com profile] xwinterwolfx, whom I occasionally feel comfortable dubbing Orlando (because I'm special like that).

Damn, [livejournal.com profile] zelle999, how'd we meet up? I feel convinced I stalked you for a bit and then we realized we were sisters from another mother or something of that nature. Random search, anyone?

I've only met, face-to-face, four of the people on the Friend's List (not that I'm complaining about that, although now you all should take treks to NY to visit me). [livejournal.com profile] urbanspell I sort of knew before he knew me, as he worked in the Registrar's Office, was it? One of those. I saw his posts at [livejournal.com profile] cunyhunter ([livejournal.com profile] teabags also posted over there). I walked up to him after having dealt with him a number of times and was like "Are you ____"? and he was like "Who the hell is this chick?" No. He was very polite. *grin* [livejournal.com profile] sibyline, [livejournal.com profile] laughingirl, and [livejournal.com profile] sternel I met via the [livejournal.com profile] nycbookclub meetings [I totally plan on finishing the book this weekend, too].

[livejournal.com profile] endgame50 I've known for basically forever when it comes to my 'net life. I'm pretty sure he was the first friend (and I feel confident in using the "f" word, at least on my side of the equation) I made online...maybe 9 years ago? I can't remember. Red Dragon Inn; oh, the memories.

The lot of you (waves to [livejournal.com profile] snacktastic, [livejournal.com profile] aubkabob, [livejournal.com profile] bbart,[livejournal.com profile] darker_one, [livejournal.com profile] daymare47, [livejournal.com profile] destroyrapture, [livejournal.com profile] djinuper, [livejournal.com profile] earenfana, [livejournal.com profile] ellyssian, [livejournal.com profile] emily_goddess, [livejournal.com profile] faedrake, [livejournal.com profile] fallen_ophelia, [livejournal.com profile] fatgoblin, [livejournal.com profile] frosty_pickle, [livejournal.com profile] lab_brat, [livejournal.com profile] layana1980, [livejournal.com profile] lasombrakate, [livejournal.com profile] light_over_me, [livejournal.com profile] living_daemon, [livejournal.com profile] lostcrackerjack, [livejournal.com profile] lunajewels, [livejournal.com profile] melancthe, [livejournal.com profile] peacelizard, [livejournal.com profile] phoenix_raging, [livejournal.com profile] pr_spin_girl, [livejournal.com profile] raven_star, [livejournal.com profile] rwarner, [livejournal.com profile] stop_no_dont, [livejournal.com profile] taii, [livejournal.com profile] thegoodgoddess, [livejournal.com profile] theoban, [livejournal.com profile] tjfalcon, [livejournal.com profile] twoworldsin1, [livejournal.com profile] uuljaar, [livejournal.com profile] vladspod, [livejournal.com profile] waremtae, [livejournal.com profile] wc_dragon, [livejournal.com profile] wyldemusick and (last but not least) [livejournal.com profile] xioley (whew!) I'm 99% sure I met through the various add_me communities I've found in the last couple of months or so. ...et tu, [livejournal.com profile] orpheus78? Either that or it was a random search thing.

I think that's it. Hmm. Sure is a lot of people. And I don't hear from more than half of y'all. It's like family. Watch I hit the LJ lottery or something and everyone'll start crawling out of the woodworks. Heh.

If I missed someone it wasn't intentional, heart's promise.
