Shiny happy people

I'm feeling fairly upbeat and I have no idea why. I've decided to steal the gnarly autumnfaerie's idea and ask you lovely people ("you" being anyone who happens to run across my journal) - what makes you happy?

And before I'm asked - yes, one of the things that makes me happy is prodding people to find out what makes them happy.

my dog, my dolls(is that weird?), the beach, bright blue skies, baby sea turtles, good anime, finding a new artist, my computer, travel, hearing someone speak a foreign language in an unexpected place.

Chocolate, a good book, a phone call from a friend, teh internets (when it's not wanktastic), a good fandom (when it's not wanktastic), and my kith and kin.

And chocolate. Because when the rest of it sucks, chocolate makes it better. 0=)

I'm so simple, lol. All the little things make me happy- the way the sun feels, warm breezes in summer, watching clouds, animals, my love-kitten McCoy, silliness, so many things really. I giggle a lot every day.

So many things - the feel of a breeze off the ocean, a warm summer night, the color of autumn leaves, snowfall before anyone steps in the snow and it becomes yucky, a good piece of chocolate (the kind that you only need one or two pieces of to feel satisfied), the idea of travelling, and silly conversationw with my boyfriend. Oh, and enjoying whatever I'm currently fangirling on - now, it's The Office, Harry Potter, Arrested Development and Lost.

Small as it may seem, having Albert's input makes me happy. Or at least not so dreary. :) I can't believe you've located the "reply" button.

What makes me happy....Hmm!

It makes me happy to be in the state where I can truly appreciate the world around me fully, without feeling self concious, without preconceptions or expectations, those rare moments when I am completley in the NOW.
My connection and telepathy with my friends makes me happy.You know the kind where you just stare at eachother and one of you bursts out laughing cuz they can feel what your thinking and it cracks them up?

I simply adore creating, drawing, being, dancing, it gives me reason tolive, it reminds me I'm special and truly alive, and it puts me in my proper place in the cosmos.

Aside from all these things, there is of course the old stand bys of great food, great sex, being in love, having true friends...Having a family one can depend on, feeling stable in one's money situation, having goals that make one happy, etc etc...

What makes me happy?

Opening a new comic book, when girls talk to me, nice sunny days outside, good times with friends, listening to an awesome techno song, dancing along to an awesome techno song, watching an awesome techno music video with hot backup dancers wearing skimpy clothes...

Lots of things make me happy! Live music, road trips, my cats, my close friends, when someone goes out of their way to make me feel special, having something fun to look forward to, good food, various books, cartoons, tv shows, cds and dvds, finding really good clothing sales, sunshine, muppets, getting snail mail... that's all I can really think of specifically. Little things quite often make me happy. I'm a firm believer in finding your own happiness where ever you can. Of course sometimes I temporarily forget that.
