Very tired. Dragon*Con was beyond awesome. Furries now officially scare the crap out of me. Sadly, those two last statements are related. Also: hot dancing Snape! Drunken Neville! The bad influence of Michael Rosenbaum! Nutty Browncoats! And more! Pictures and a nice recap post forthcoming once my brain kicks in.

Note to self: next year, take off until the Wednesday from work. This way I won't be bitching about how damn tired I still am and how I have to drag my ass into the office anyway.

By the way, I'm adding you to my flist~!

Oh, and I haven't had a chance to read the fic just yet. I'm heading over there now. ;)

My friend and I were chatting with some dude while on our way to the airport yesterday and, apparently, Friday night a bunch of furries started with the furry sexin' in the atrium of one of the main hotels. According to the guy it was "everything but penetration"...which, you know, I don't EVEN want to contemplate. He also said folks were taking pictures. Just say no, man.

Ha! Sounds like quite a time, can't wait to hear more. I used to have such a crush on Michael Rosenbaum back when I was into Smallville.

I'm not sure what a "furry" is, and I'm thinking maybe I don't want to know....lol

Glad you had fun!

Yes! Save your virgin mind!
Michael Rosenbaum is looking to transition into stand-up. Or, if not, he should. He was freakin' *hi-larious*.

And thanks. :)

You start with the fear of the furries but soon...you'll be making your own blue fox outfit in no time!

There's the whole "hierarchy of geekdom" thing which I usually don't prescribe to, and I don't have a problem with the whole furry lifestyle per se -hey, if you want to dress up as Beast and get down and dirty with Balloo from "The Jungle Book" more power to you! - but its when you start fondling each other in a public space with kids around that I get seriously squicked, Which is what went down. So, no, I will not be going as a blue fox anytime soon. Blue isn't my color at all.

*giggle* Dang, I should have gone to EJO's panel to get A/V of that.

Spread the Michael Rosenbaum love! ^_______^

I was actually referring to the Colonial Fleet Party, where he, Mike Hogan, Aaron Douglas, Helo (I can't spell that dude's name offhand at all), and Callis showed up near the tail end of things. The damn pilots in the crowd were drunk as all hell, the grease monkeys were well on their way to tipping, and everyone kept randomly starting up cries of "so say we all". Then EJO took the stage, gave a semi-rambly long speech, and punctuated everything with many calls of "so say we all". Like, Jesus, yeah yeah, I get it.

Michael Hogan was wasted as a mo' on stage. It was great! :)

I was contemplating something like this when making this post. Somewhere out there in the ether there's a fandom hierarchy, ranking the perceived public opinion of each popular nerd/geek endeavor. Furries rank near the bottom. Frankly, I'm of this school of though: if you want to get down while wearing a costume, more power to you. I'm not going to lie and say I don't find it amusing think about a man-sized koala getting it on with a walking Pooh bear, but, hey!, whatever. BUT I don't care if you're a furry, into men, into women, into men who dress as women - I don't want to see you getting your freak on in public. Just...NO.
