Work. Work. Work. Had a "routine" medical procedure to perform today that went completely fuck-all abnormal on me (although the docs all say what happened is "normal" I've never run into it and OMG) and I sort of freaked. On the inside, as the aides were hovering around. When I left things appeared to back at status quo, but literally every time I close my eyes more than five seconds I *see* everything all over again and maybe I'm still freaking out a little? Maybe? I keep thinking things are going to go to pot and...::deep breath:: Jesus, I need a mental health day.

Wrapped up book five of Codex Alera, "Princep's Fury". The writing does improve as one goes on, but I'm still itching to follow up on Ehren (hands down my fave character). And, a major quibble: Butcher had a character come down with the Victorian Single Cough of Consumption That Heralds Death. FOR. REAL. I almost fell out. Have started "Turn Coat". I realize my reluctance to pick it up first is because I'm 99% sure shit gets real in this book. And if Butcher screws with Thomas I'm dispatching Ninja Lemurs (still not forking out $20 for that Thomas-centric short story, but apparently he gets hardcore in it; can't shake the feeling that there are a number of short story shout-outs in "Turn Coat" I'm missing out on).

Que?: running away because not enough people commented on your stories? Really? Aww. Why can't we be all adult while running around with our tinted glasses, huh? And I totally dug your stuff too.

In conclusion: "Oh God, the homo storm got me!"

By "dissed" I mean "completely failed to mention". But then, a lot of people are probably confused - we've had something like marriage for years now, so the legalization of actual marriage this month might not seem like much to Flatlanders.
