Took the brolets out to this one, and it certainly was an experience. I had to wait for them to return from the gym so we headed out later than I'd wanted. We also didn't know the F into Manhattan wasn't running to Roosevelt Island and we ended up powerwalking from 3rd Ave and 53rd Street to Lex and 63rd to catch the Queens bound F in a futile attempt to arrive at the start point before 4pm. We started the event IN the subway station with about thirty other red, blue, yellow and green clad players in our immediate vicinity, no doubt startling the lay folks around us. This year we ended up reenacting a rather funny/violent "fairy tale" (aren't they all, though?) involving bats, hammers, and baseball-stealing wolves. Brolets had a blast, I think. Only negative was that littlest bro lost his cellphone in all the running around and we weren't able to recover it. Hopefully some good Samaritan has it and turns in, but meh. Can't wait for next year's event.

Youngest brother and I got bats. The other two were supposed to get hammers, but they ran out before they could get their hands on them. I think the hammers were so much neater than the bats. But bats totally kicked arse anyway. :)

The cell appears to be gone, as in appropriated by some other participant. A couple of other people lost phones as well, and one poor out of state tourist dropped his camera. Whoever decided to stop playing and start collecting dropped items had a field day.
