Feeling very blah recently. It's been building for a little while. Pondering it makes me not want to post, but this Hyperbole and a Half post more or less sums it up. I hate to get whiny, don't really have a reason to complain, don't find anything to post about, blah blah.

It's almost Turkey Day! That's always fun. And Turkey Day is just White Guilt Amnesty Day Eve, y'all.

Funniest out of context quote from my horrible no-good shift on Saturday: "I'm going to put you in a nursing home in Princeton, New Jersey!"

I'm sorry you're feeling sad. I hope you're not feeling quite as bad as that post, though... Can I offer you good thoughts? Hot men sexing each other up? Annoying customers and supervisors slipping in cat vomit?

(Wait, isn't Turkey Day itself White Guilt Amnesty Day?)

Ha! You're awesome. Is "all of the above" an option? And I'm functioning, so it's not too tremendous. It's just a "a-ha, so that's what I was feeling" but of recognition when I'd first read that post.

Amnesty Day is totally better the day *after* Turkey Day. Turkey Day is dedicated to football and white meat comas.

Depression sux. Last year I had it so bad that I didn't leave my house for weeks at a time. Yeah....

I would say feel better but I know it doesn't really do much good. But you will have better days. *hugs*

I can't even say I'm depressed. Just a bit out of it. I can muster energy to do things, so that's something.

i know how you feel. i can feel myself sliding into a funk and i've tried to post about it a few times in the past couple of weeks but i don't even know how to sum it up. i just feel it even though there's no concrete reasoning. blah.
i love that hyperbole post - it sums it up perfectly.

Dude. Totally.

And it's way too hard to verbalize.

Hooray for another year of white guilt amnesty!
I'm thinking we should rip off the whole pink/yellow ribbon thing with a white guilt amnesty support ribbon of our own. At least until the rubber "live strong" bracelets and t-shirts are available!
Sorry to hear you are feeling bleh. I shall endeavor to go off in a rage on some unsuspecting evildoers to cheer you up if I can!
*hugs*

What's an appropriate color, though? Salmon? Brown?

I feel like the combination of shortening days, colder weather, increasingly bare trees, and the end of Daylight Saving Time all conspire to make people feel like curling up and hibernating this time of year. I'm starting to understand on a visceral level why my ancestors started having a "dear Sun, please come back" party at midwinter.
