This weekend I finally got to meet up with the lovely knowledge bank known as [livejournal.com profile] devoosha, and we went up and down Midtown Sunday afternoon, starting with the Museum of Modern Art. I'd never been, and I think I'll end up going again because that place is jammed packed with MST3K goodness opportunities. When you find yourself staring at a 4'x4' black painted canvas for more than three minutes? Something is wrong. There was a work that was simply a piece of mauve string hung in a rhombus shape, with one long end against the wall and the other planted on the floor a foot or two away. Maybe if I hadn't been so tired I'd have spent time ruminating more on the pieces on display (particularly the bronze flayed penis hung midair), but then that leaves me sort of glad that I didn't bother. All I know is that I'm in the wrong racket, career-wise. We also made our way to FAO Schwartz, the Nintendo Store (I'm not looking forward to camping outside the Nintendo Store at 6AM in an attempt to get my hands on a Wii Fii the way I ended up getting a Wii, but dammit! things don't look good), and Heartland for lunch. Fun times.

My manager's on a short-notice vacation, so my patient load up to today's been light (yayz!). Which leaves me pondering why precisely I've been fatigued the last two days. I think I need to try starting my days with a big cup of coffee and see if that helps.

I'm trying to figure out what to do during my vacation week (January 11-19th). Coincidentally, that will also be around the time when I receive the first half of my signing bonus, so I'll have more money to fling around. I figured by that time I can swing a longish trip. Vegas? Hawaii? Cruise? Anyone have suggestions?
