Went to see Justin Timberlake at MSG with [personal profile] atraxia last night, and it was the most fun I've had in days. It was an almost celestial alignment o' fun: a great companion, random interactions with crazy city dwellers (and yes, random dude, I also have no idea why the woman you were trying to hit on wasn't impressed by your opening line that she looked "absolutely fucking smart". He then went on to walk beside us and justify his response by saying "she didn't look like she'd go to Baruch [College], you know, but like she'd go to Harvard Business School or some shit". Dude was a complete stranger, mind), drunken kids (okay, that wasn't so fun, but the potential for beef starting was a thrill), and dick in a box. Seriously, why didn't anyone tell me about this before?

Also, thanks to Blender for pointing out this little gem: Aries Spears going crazy on the mike, channeling LL, Snoop, DMX, and Jay-Z.

I haven't watched SNL consistently since my dorming days (I remember the exact line-up on Saturdays: SNL, Showtime at the Apollo, Highlander - a trifecta of awesome), so I always miss out on all the funny. I heard that the Jake Gyllenhaal monologue was pretty laugh-worthy...dude was in drag?

JT was okay. We kept wishing his ass had engaged in more shaking, and I found myself calling him a "budget Usher" on the occasion. I mean, dude can sing, dude has stage presence, but I wanted more gratuitous pants dropping and oiled chest baring. That too much to ask?

i haven't watched it in years either, but fortunately someone posted it on ONTD and i was lucky enough to see.

no, no it is not too much to ask for. you give the ladies what they want JT, and that usually involves skin.
