Because the el-jay is my crack.

1. As expected, points were added to the Patho exam. My grade went from a 67 to an 84. God bless this lazy program.
2. I haven't written an article for the school paper in two weeks so I decided to do a movie review. The movie I chose? Aquamarine. I am quite obviously a masochist of the highest degree. God, just the website alone makes me want to puke. The screening is tomorrow evening during a time I just happen to be free, and that's the only reason why I signed up for it. My review will bring the snark and it will bring it HARD.
3. The meeting of the [livejournal.com profile] nycbookclub this evening was amazingly fun. Yay! to the group not dying a slow painful death.
4. I'm re-reading "Angels in America" for my Nursing in the Media class. I remember reading it for Queer Lit and being the only one in the class to empathize with Louis. The reason? I'd just been the "Louis" in a dead relationship. Reading the play is bringing back all sorts of painful memories...but it's still a great work.
5. I don't want to go to clinical tomorrow. *sob*
6. I really need to re-learn my Italian. This is just ridiculous.
7. I have no idea what it is about quiet people that draws me in. Oh, who the hell am I kidding? of course I know.

So what draws you in?

Aquamarine?! Really? I'm sorry.

The usual. I end up wanting to find out what makes quiet people tick. Draw them out in a sense. There's a good bit of projection that goes on when I interact or meet someone who's rather reclusive. It's a big disservice to them and to myself.

Pray for me.

Do you see yourself as intro or extroverted ? :)

From: [identity profile] fredericks.livejournal.com
It depends on the situation. If asked I'd say I'm introverted - generally I'm quite happy with sitting back and saying nothing. But if I'm comfortable with the company I can be somewhat sociable. The problem is that I've socialized so little during my life that I'm really at a loss as to how to go about things. It might sound odd but it's true. That leads to an increase in introverted action (or inaction).

Why do you ask? Someone a little bored tonight?

I'd say "interested" not bored :)

Aquamarine? Ouch...thou brave soul!

Watch...you'll end up really liking it and unable to write snarky....

Nah...not gonna happen :P

Have you ever read 'Mama Might Be Better Off Dead'? It's a good (although rather bleak) read.

Going to bed now.

Congratulations on the grade change! Those are so much fun.

I SO want your icon. I swear I was having mini-seizures in my hand and bronchospasms in my eye. I SWEAR.

So take it. *grin* More people need to use Battlestar Galactica icons. They make the world a better place. I saw your post about your Patho grade. Do you think you guys will get more points?

I haven't gotten to the point where I make mini-assessments of my health but I've noticed that my family will ask me to do more medically-related stuff just because I'm in nursing school. I've been asked to find out why people were feeling ill (on the spot) and take care of my brother's plantar wart problem. Riiiiiiight. Because I'm obviously studying to be a podiatrist.

DEFINITELY not going to happen. I spent a lot of time during the movie writing "oh my God!" and "can I please go home now?" The sad thing is I think I might have found something like it watchable when I was in the 5th grade. *sigh*

No I certainly have not. Sounds interesting (ha!); I'll add the name to my ever-increasing "must read soon" book list. Thanks for the recommendation. Why do you bring the name up, if you don't mind me asking?

And I added you back! Nice to meet you again.

How do you operate with your journal? Do you encourage comments on your entries or no? I'm happy to oblige either inclination. :)

It's just a public health and poverty book.

A-ha. Hmm. I made an ass of myself, didn't I? :(

It is still on the list, though. Thanks for the rec.
