Not that I particularly care about the happenings of Sir McCartney, but blah blah his marriage might be on the outs and the media's raising all sorts of questions about prenuptial agreements that I've thought off and on about since Lord knows when. Does signing a prenup mean that you believe your marriage will go down the tubes? Or is it just a safety net because realistically you know something like 1/2 (3/4?) of marriages end with a visit to the local judge? Out of curiosity I have to ask -

I think in this day and age when as you said, the divorce rate is at least 50% Im surprised more people -dont- get one. Especially celebrities. I mean dude, they were showing how much whatshisname earnt in the last year and its more money that I will see in my lifetime. Id be getting one if I had that kind of income. no question. even if I thought the marriage would last forever. he's probably richer than shit though and wont even miss what his wife will get. : /

I'm with you. If I was worth 1.5 BILLION getting one of those would be, like, no question. Surely if you loved me and thought we'd be together forever it wouldn't matter if you signed a prenup or not, right?

But, true. He can spare a couple of hundred million to give to his wife. Although one wonders how much of that he has on hand and how much of it is the value of his various catalogs and properties. That'd be sort of hard to divide. :(
