My head's going "boom-boom-boom" in that life-affirming yet abso-fuckin'-lutely painful way that gives a body reason to retreat to a dark bedroom. You know, *more* reason than one usually has, in any case. Least my uterus has stopped acting like a petulant child (thank GOD for aspirin).
Is it me, or has SciFi pumped loads more into BSG's promo budget than ever before? I keep seeing ads on basic TV, and when I flipped to the local NBC news I was gobsmacked by Laura Roslin...Mary something or another (gah! I know her name, but brain dancing to techno bass and nonresponsive) on the interview seat. I'm a fan of it, don't get me wrong - the more publicity for my show the better - but I do hope all of this translates into increased viewership and a longer life. On the same track I am TOTALLY psyched for the premiere. I wish I knew of a premiere viewing party...or had the money to organize one myself. Anywhozit, I know where I'll be come 9PM Friday: in front of my TV with a nice cup of darjeeling and some crackers (yeah, I'm a goddamned party animal).
Tonight's South Park, with a storyline revolving around WoW, was quite amusing, although I think if I actually played the game I'd get more of the in-jokes. As it was I just extrapolated my experiences from MMORPing the only crap my computer could have run, Diablo and Diablo II (ah, the many colleges nights we spent raiding dungeons and leveling up come back so quickly).
And, Jesus, Jon Stewart seems really *bitter* tonight. More than usual. He isn't messing around on the Foley issue, God bless him.

I need to watch that South Park, as people at work have been going on about it a lot, and I do like South Park. Hugely.
Is it wrong that I can't stand Diablo? Never played II. I just never 'got' it.

Date: 2006-10-05 01:39 pm (UTC)And I know you are a TRUE party animal. Now, if you'll be eating animal crackers while watching the premiere, that'll take the cake. *grin*
I missed South Park! I think I was still upset about the Yankees game being postponed at that time to watch. I'll have to catch the repeat.
Oh, yeah, and one week from today...get ready for a real party! *grin* Well, as party-ish as I ever get...which really isn't party-ish at all. But, yeah...I guarantee you'll have a blast with me. At least, I hope. :)
